A Fresh Sewing Day start to 2012

Hello 2012, I'm hoping you will be fun, happy and provide us with lots of laughs.

I'm not going to reflect back on everything that I created in 2011, although I must make sure this year that I photograph all of my projects, there were loads that I made for Christmas that I wrapped and gave without taking photos first.

I am however going to show you some of the things I made in December, and i'm linking up at Lily's

I also wrote my first tutorials, both are paper pieced blocks, one is for a union jack, the other for a checkerboard block, both of which are in the mosaic above. They were fun to do and fingers crossed they both make sense, I just need some people to make them now and tell me if they work! The links to them are in my sidebar if you want to check them out

As well as these makes I also made a cushion cover for my sister, a wipe clean lunch bag for a work colleague, 3 headphone pouches and a cover for a foot stool. All have been given and much appreciated but I may get photos in the future.

I have loved starting this blog, getting comments from you lovely followers, finding new blogs to read, taking part in swaps and bees, all of which have been new to me over the past year.

However I want to share with you what has made me laugh and given me the most smiles, joy and utter happiness throughout 2011
My boys, my wonderful, gorgeous, happy, funny family. Look at those faces, gotta love 'um.

So grab a cuppa and go check out what everyone else has been up to in 2011, head over to Lily's Quilts for Fresh Sewing Day.

I love the mosaic of smiles! I should comment on your Dec makes, but all those little smiling faces really stole the show. I hope 2012 is filled with more of the same
